The course, Fundamentals of Esoteric Knowledge (also available through P.O.N. Press—please see our website or Facebook page for more information), written by Jean Dubuis for the LPN/PON, was created to make up for a lack in basic knowledge, understanding and practical experience in general western esotericism. However, due to the thoroughness of this series of 12 lessons, it became much more than a mere fundamental study & practice program, but a stand-alone course that provided people with a solid foundation as well as a genuine method of Initiation.

Considering the importance of this course—and its challenges in spite of its simple and basic nature—Mark Stavish, member of the PON and long-time student and teacher of western esotericism, gave a workshop in 1999 on its teachings. In these 4+ hours of video, detailed coverage of the initial exercises is presented along with various practical tips (and on-the-scene experimentation) to help the student with them and properly getting into the lessons and what they teach. Stavish also provides in-depth explanation of various topics covered in the Fundamentals of Esoteric Knowledge course, thus providing a most educational video seminar that greatly complements the written lessons.
